The AMIF project, entitled "Diffusion, practice and implementation of sport activity in favor of underaged foreigners welcomed/accommodated in the national reception system”, is born in 2018 in order to promote, through sport, theintegration and theinclusion of underaged foreigners, aged from 6 to 18 years old, hosted/welcomed in Italian reception facilities stated by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
25.000 i unaccompanied minors , only for the 2016 have arrived in Italy. in ItaliaVulnerable teenagers, who need great attention in order to avoid their submersion into the no man’s land of child exploitation and organized crime and so that they can launch a concrete process of personal growth and social inclusion.
The AMIF project represents a fundamental opportunity to practice sport, but also to develop social relations, to practice Italian and to improve one's psychophysical condition.A fundamental element for teenagers and, especially, for forced young migrants, that often lived deep traumas..
The AMIF project is carried by CONI (Comitato Olimpico Nazionale Italiano, namely “Italian National Olympic Committee”),Liberi Nantes supervises the organization of the activities planned in Rome province. These activities, including football and swimming, are held at the Fulvio Bernardini sport center and involve, during an 8-month period, about 40 beneficiaries.
