S(up)port Refugees Integration is a social inclusion project through sportaddressed to young migrant women, who are received or who reside in Rome or in its province.
The project, born in 2017 and which lasts 12 months, is especially addressed to the 15-25 and 25-40 age groups in order to implicate both young women and mothers, even the ones integrated into a larger family context which could limit their participation in the local community.
Football, touch rugby, athletics, postural gymnastics, hiking:those are the activities put in place, with a hundred beneficiaries involved.
The purpose is to give them back a space of normality, socialization and inclusion, self-awareness and body-awareness, but also and mostly of joy, discovery and rediscovery of one's potential and positive emotions.
In addition to the realization of sport activities, the project involves producing and directing a documentary as well as the creation and the publication (in a traditional hard-copy format and an e-book) of a narrative collective with guidelines and good practices to share with environments working closely with migrants but also with schools, institutions, etc.
Liberi Nantes is the only beneficiary and is in charge of organizing and realizing all planned activities.
